چکیده
Abstract BACKGROUND MRI, the standard of care (SOC) for meningioma radiotherapy planning, lacks sensitivity postoperative small volume disease and osseous or parenchymal invasion. BN003 (NCT03180268) randomizes patients with WHO-2 meningiomas MRI-determined GTR to observation 60 Gy IMRT resection bed. More sensitive specific imaging biomarkers may improve clinical outcomes in by limiting unnecessary radiation normal tissues improving targeting. [68Ga]-DOTATATE is a PET radiotracer targeting somatostatin receptor 2 (SSTR2), highly biomarker. We developed dedicated DOTATATE brain PET/MRI protocol allowing differentiation from post-treatment change, using SUV analysis Patlak modeling. Our prospective observational trial (NCT04081701) has imaged over 90 meningioma. This IRB-approved study evaluated PFS tumors who were managed solely active surveillance. hypothesized that surveillance would be higher than GTR, NRG-BN003’s arm (randomized comparing fractionated radiotherapy) as reference standard. METHODS 92 SSTR2-positive neoplasms enrolled between 9/2019 5/2022 according our previously published protocol. 8 met inclusion criteria (WHO-2 & PET/MR GTR) followed SOC MRI. Kaplan-Meier survival was performed. RESULTS 5/8 subjects (62.5%) women; mean age 67 years. MRI follow-up data available 19.75 months (range: 7-38 months). One subject (12.5%) progressed at 21 months; remainder remain progression-free. demonstrated 3-year 80%, which substantially reported 69% literature. CONCLUSIONS can specificity imaging-based assessment extent meningiomas.

Effect of gross total resection (GTR) in WHO grade II astrocytomas: A SEER based survival analysis
Introduction: We wished to compare the survival benefit associated with gross total resection (GTR) in World Health Organization (WHO) grade II astrocytomas (A2) to those of grade III (A3) and grade IV (glioblastoma) astrocytomas. Methods: Using the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) Program (1999-2010) database, we identified 4,113 A2 patients. Surgical resection was defined as...
متن کامل[F]-Sodium Fluoride PETMR–Based Localization and Quantification of Bone Turnover as a Biomarker for Facet Joint–Induced Disability
SUMMARY: Our aim was to prospectively evaluate the relationship between low back pain–related disability and quantitative measures from [F]-sodium fluoride ([F]-NaF) MR imaging. Six patients with facetogenic low back pain underwent dynamic [F]-NaF PET/MR imaging. PET metrics were correlated with clinical measures and MR imaging grading of lumbar facet arthropathy. A significant positive correla...
متن کاملUsefulness of Fluorescence-Guided-Surgery in Achieving Gross Total Resection of Malignant Glioma: Evaluation Using Mr Volumetric Study
Introduction: Malignant gliomas are highly infiltrative and aggressive primary brain tumors. Achieving gross total resection (GTR) using conventional white light microsurgical technique is a challenge. Five-aminolevulinic acid (5-ALA) can be used as an adjunct for the surgery of adult malignant glioma and improves the rate of gross total resection and patient survival. The use of this method in...
متن کاملGross-total resection outcomes in an elderly population with glioblastoma: a SEER-based analysis.
OBJECT There is limited information on the relationship between patient age and the clinical benefit of resection in patients with glioblastoma. The purpose of this study was to use a population-based database to determine whether patient age influences the frequency that gross-total resection (GTR) is performed, and also whether GTR is associated with survival difference in different age group...
متن کاملRecurrence after gross-total resection of low-grade pediatric brain tumors: the frequency and timing of postoperative imaging.
OBJECT Low-grade glial and glioneuronal brain tumors are frequently encountered in the pediatric population and can be effectively treated by resection. The authors aimed to use imaging to evaluate how often tumors recurred and to determine if recurrences were associated with any clinical symptoms, along with the financial costs of imaging, in patients with radiographically proven gross-total r...
